1. The short version
Most of the cookie and browser storage Vantivelo uses is there to make the product work. We don't retarget you and we don't track you across other websites.
We do use one optional analytics service — Google Analytics 4 — to understand how people move through the site and how it performs. It is off until you allow it, you're asked before it loads, and declining changes nothing about how Vantivelo works for you.
2. What we actually store in your browser
"Cookies" is the familiar word, but modern apps also use related browser storage (localStorage and IndexedDB). Here's everything Vantivelo uses and why:
Authentication and session. Keeps you signed in between visits and secures your session as you move around the app. Without it you'd be signed out on every page. Strictly necessary.
Work in progress. Your assessment answers and any voice recordings you've made are held in your browser while you're working, so that a refresh, a lost connection, or a phone locking mid-recording doesn't destroy what you've written or recorded. Strictly necessary to the feature.
Guest report access. If you complete the assessment without an account, your browser remembers the reports that belong to you so you can return to them. This is the only thing linking you to that report — clearing your browser storage removes your access to it.
Preferences and interface state. Small settings such as which notifications you've already seen and interface layout choices, so the app doesn't reset itself every visit. Functional.
Security and abuse prevention. Our infrastructure providers may set cookies necessary to protect the Service against fraud and automated abuse. Strictly necessary.
Optional analytics (Google Analytics 4). Only if you allow it. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and browser storage to recognise a returning browser and group activity into visits. We also keep a small record of your consent choice, and, where you allowed analytics, how you first arrived (campaign labels and the website that referred you) for up to 90 days. Optional — never loaded before you say yes.
3. Google Analytics, in plain language
Vantivelo uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site is used and how it performs: which pages are visited, how far people get through the assessment journey, and where the experience breaks down. It helps us improve the product. It is not used for advertising.
What we send Google is deliberately limited to behaviour, never content:
- a masked page address — identifiers such as a report reference are replaced, and the query string and anything after the # are discarded entirely;
- the name of a milestone you reached, such as starting or completing the assessment;
- campaign labels and the referring website, where those exist.
We never send your assessment answers, report, roadmap, homework, Coach messages, uploaded files or their names, your email address, your name, or any payment information.
The Google Analytics script is not requested at all until you allow analytics. If you later turn analytics off, collection stops for future activity. Google acts as our analytics provider and processes this information on our behalf; advertising features such as Google Signals and ad personalisation are switched off on our property.
4. What we don't use
As of the date at the top of this page, Vantivelo does not use:
- advertising or retargeting pixels;
- cross-site or cross-device tracking;
- Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Pinterest tracking or Microsoft Clarity;
- social media tracking widgets or embedded third-party trackers; or
- any cookie-based profiling that would constitute a sale or sharing of personal information.
Google Ads conversion measurement. Vantivelo is preparing to measure whether visitors who arrive from our Google ads complete key steps such as finishing the assessment or making a purchase. This is conversion measurement only — not retargeting, behavioral advertising, cross-site profiling, Google Signals, or ad personalization — and it will be consent-gated exactly like Google Analytics: nothing loads or is sent until you allow optional measurement, and you can withdraw at any time. It will never send your assessment answers, Coach messages, uploads, or other private product content to Google.
This will be updated if it changes. If Vantivelo later introduces further analytics or advertising/conversion technologies, this policy will be updated to list them before they're switched on, and we'll add consent controls where the law requires them.
5. Managing your choices and browser storage
Changing or withdrawing analytics consent. When you're first asked, you can allow or decline with a single click. You can change your mind at any time from the optional-tracking controls in your account settings. Turning analytics off stops further collection and deletes the stored record of how you first arrived.
You can also clear or block cookies and site data through your browser's settings, and you can browse the public pages of the site with them blocked.
Be aware of what that costs inside the app:
- You won't be able to stay signed in.
- Assessment answers and voice recordings held in progress will be lost.
- If you completed an assessment without an account, you'll lose access to those reports — your browser is the only thing that remembers them.
Data stored in your account on our servers is unaffected by clearing browser storage. That is covered by the Privacy Policy and Data Deletion & Privacy Rights.
6. Payments
Stripe. Vantivelo processes payments through Stripe. When you check out, Stripe may set cookies or use browser storage necessary to complete the transaction securely and to prevent fraud. These are Stripe's own payment cookies, governed by Stripe's policies — Vantivelo does not receive or store your full payment card details.
